Day 1: Delhi
We start our Spiti Valley tour from the wide and urban roads of Delhi Chandigarh and drive through the lush green countryside of the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Day 2: Delhi to Chandigarh
Start your journey from Delhi to Chandigarh in the morning. We will take you on a joyride through the Himalayan Express Highway and NH 22 into the heart of the Himalayas. Initially we drive along the low hills and eventually gain an altitude of 6500 feet. Beautiful road snaking through forests of pine, deodar and oak trees offers glimpses of small beautiful villages on the way. We reach Kotgarh by evening, which is our halt for the night. Overnight stay at an homestay amidst an orchard of apple and cherries.
Day 3: Chandigarh to Banjar
After Taking Breakfast, we start our journey from chandigarh to bajjar. Banjar Valley is also called the gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. It lies on the road from Manali to Shimla and is a beautiful and unexplored region. Jalori pass (10,240 ft), which falls on the road to Banjar Valley, is open throughout the year. Not being a very high pass it receives light snowfall allowing access to the region in any season. Although this route has both paved and unpaved road and has some very sharp bends near the Jalori pass, this road is not very difficult on to drive on. The scenery along the route is heavenly and untouched beauty.
Day 4: Banjar to Sarahan
We continue our journey to Saharan “the gateway to Kinnaur”. Known as the land of fairy tales and fantasies, Kinnaur has a spectacular terrain of a lush green valley, orchards, vineyards, snow-clad peaks, and cold desert mountains. Kinnaur is extremely rich in flora & fauna and the culture and language are different from other parts of the state. Criss-crossing one of the most picturesque valleys of the region, we follow the road to Sarahan which composes pictures of pastoral perfection, as the apple orchards gardens of rare medicinal herbs, a variety of wildflowers and fields surround the small hamlets with their slate-roofed houses. A visit to Bhimakali temple is planned. The temples’ unusual architecture and wealth of carvings have made it a resplendent example of Pahari hill style.
Day 5: Sarahan to Chitkul to Kalpa
Head to Chitkul through the beautiful Sangla valley surrounded by thick forests, apple orchards, rushing waters and towering Himalayan ranges. Chitkul is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border and is renowned for its houses with either slate or wooden plank roofs, a Buddhist temple and a small tower.We take the road to Kalpa, one of the biggest and beautiful villages of Kinnaur. Situated at the height of 2758 m above sea level and 110 km from Sarahan, Kalpa is the main village of Kinnaur. Across the river faces the majestic mountains of the Kinner Kailash range. These are spectacular sights early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and golden light.
Day 6: Kalpa to Kaza
Today, you are going to witness yet another beautiful route from Kalpa to Kaza.Get ready to experience the captivating beauty of the villages and valleys en route to Kaza. Arrive in Kaza and relax.
Day 7: Kaza to Chander Tal
Prepare to welcome the majestic beauty of the famous lake, Chandra Taal with today's trip.You will be crossing the 15500 feet high Kunzum La to reach the crescent shaped lake, Chandra Taal. Camping near the lake will let you forget yourself and enjoy the serenity at its best.
Day 8: Chander Tal to Manali
After exploring the maximum beauty of the lake, get ready to travel to Manali today.The drive will be along the toughest routes in the Himalayas. Prepare yourself to hold your breath and cross one of the highest motorable passes in India that is the Rohtang Pass and finally you will reach Old Manali. Then come to Manali and stay overnight there.
Day 9: Manali End
This is the last day for this Tour. The tour ends at Manali.
